Exploring is an important part of UWars, as it is the only way to get extra land and resources for your empire. You have to pay your workers in gold, food, and oil (Advanced Age) in order to send them on a mission, and their fee increases as you advance. The more land you have the better. Land is used for building things such as houses, mines, silos and all of the other buildings too. As you advance, your need for land grows as you will require new buildings such as Barracks, Tank Storages, Hangars and defensive buildings like ADS and Plasma Cannons.

Once you reach the Advanced Age (third and final age), an additional cost to explore is required in the form of oil.

1.		Logo - The head logo redirects you back to the "My Empire" page in the round you were in. For example, if you were viewing Game Forums in Round 9, you will return to "My Empire" page in Round 9.
2.		Personal Management - This portion provides you the links to reading Mail, News, Bookmarks, and Friends. Click on the links for more information.
3.		Round Switching - By clicking the down arrow, you are able to switch between rounds easily.
4.		The Navigation Bar - Using this you can get to everywhere you need to in the game. At a click of your mouse you can be at the Explore, Construct, Research, Military, Spycraft, Market, Galaxy Page, or back to your My Empire page again.
5.		Get PLUS - An advertisement for non-PLUS members to get a PLUS account which provides a greater advantage. By clicking it, the link redirects you to an advertisement within the game, explaining what bonuses you will get by becoming a PLUS member. Click here for more information.
6.		Next Tick - This provides the amount of time until the next click proceeds. When the tick reaches 00:00, one tick will pass. Ticks for non-PLUS members are 15 minutes while PLUS members are 10 minutes.
7.		Round Notification - This notification normally doesn't appear on running rounds. If the round ended and is currently in Chaos mode, it will notifiy you that the round is in Chaos Mode with 5 minute ticks and no 50% rule. Also, another notification takes this place before a round starts. When a new round is set up, members are able to join the round but ticks won't be running. A new notification in this place will tell the members when the tick officially starts and the current game time/date.
8.		Resources and Ranking - This area will show how much of each resource you have as well as the number of tokens you have. It also shows your empire's worth and your ranking against all the other people playing UWars. With the new Round 10 batch update, the Alliance link is provided. By clicking the red link, you will be redirected to your alliance page.
9.		The dialogue box on the explore page shows you how many workers you have available to send exploring and how much it will cost you per worker to send them on their long quest to find you land. The input box is for you to say how many workers you wish to send exploring, but remember, you can only send free workers exploring. It also allows you to input how long they should travel (max: look below). Click the calculate button and it will tell you the amount of resources required for the travel you inputted. The length of their travel depends on your explore skill rank. If you are lucky you might find a report that you have found some treasure worth x gold.
10.		Community Bar - This allows you to access the forums, chat and look up other empires. Please show proper respect and follow the rules when speaking to others on UWars. Alliances Game Forum Game Chat Empire Search Game Rankings Exit
11.		Calculations - These are the results after calculating the amount of resources required for the inputted amount of workers to explore. It also provides a reason why the entered amount of workers cannot make the exploration.
12.		Time - Tells the current game date and game time.
13.		Current Expeditions - This provides the current expeditions that are exploring. You can click the recall button to end the explore, which the exploreres will return in a certain amount of ticks. However, the amount of land returned will be lowered. If there is a Cancel link, it means the first tick haven't passed since you assigned the exploration. The workers will be stopped from exploring and you can assign these workers to do things immediately. You will be refunded fully but there will be no land explored.
14.		Account/Mode - Tells the type of account you currently possess. If it is the NON-PLUS picture, by clicking it, you will be redirected to a PLUS advertisement. It also provides the information on how long a tick stimulates.
15.		Playing Now - By clicking the number, you will be redirected to a summary of the active players and people that are online.
16.		The Vote Link - Support UWars by voting for it and receive a free portion of land! The size of the reward depends on your Explore Skill Rank. If you already voted during the day, you will not be rewarded until the next day or when it gives you the message from the first picture.
17.		End Footer - Provides the links to the Orbit Forums, Help!, and Game Rules. It also provides the link the Hellbored Entertainment website, the main site that owns Universe Wars.
