Your empire's rank is essentially your worth as compared to everyone else's. Rank is determined by your empire's worth, and is updated every tick. At the end of a round, the players in First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth ranks are awarded prizes. Cash prize is given in Round 8.

Think of it as being like a race. Your rank is the place you're in.
