Knowledge is one of the most powerful resources your empire can have. After building a school, setting workers to "learning" yields you knowledge () which can be used to research new technologies that give bonuses to resource gathering, make new buildings and military units available, and even allow you to create and alliance. Remember though,when you have workers learning, make sure it is an even number! The knowledge you gain goes up with every two workers learning, so don't waste that last one!
