If the Staff are wild animals, then the Uwars chat is surely the jungle. This is where all the knowns and unknowns of the Universe come to spam, just talk, or cyber. If you want to be known throughout the game then this is the first place you should go, you will find that if you are funny and nice you will have no trouble finding an alliance, but if you spam and swear, than you will have trouble getting your worth over 10k.(Not a Threat)

Get in there and have fun, but watch for the Staff, they don't like rule breakers.

There are 3 different channels you can get into. General, Planet, and Alliance. You can change channels by clicking on the tabs at the top of the chat page.

General Chat

This is the main gathering area for Uwars players. Anybody with an account can get here. If you're looking for a friendly conversation this is the channel to go to.

Planet Chat

This is a channel exclusive to the people in your planet. While some planets are fabled to have discussions here, for most it is rarely used.

Alliance Chat

This channel is exclusive to members of your alliance. Strategizing, conversations, and anything else can happen in here, usually mod-free. (But follow the rules, because people can still report you!)

Chat Commands

Using various chat commands you can have a variety of effects on a few things in the chat. UTML also works in here, for the most part, with only a few parts being left out.

Chat commands include:

/color <hex code>	- Changes the color of what you type until leave chat See below for the color chart. (Do not include < and > when typing hex code) Ex: /color d2691e
/bold	- Makes your text bold until you close the window/tab.
/afk	- Sets your status to "afk." (Away from keyboard.)
/back	- Removes afk status. (Typing something and saying it removes afk status.)
/me	- Makes your username go into action (Ex: *Wiki is helping many people*)
/msg Name, message	- Send a private message to this person. Example: /msg Necron Lord, Testing . Note the comma must be there.
/startmsg Name or /msgstart Name	- Begin a private message session. All of your following messages will be directed to this person.
/stopmsg or /msgstop	- Ends a private message session.
/topic UWars Wiki Rocks!	- Set's the topic for the chatroom. General Chat is set by developers and moderators. Your Planet chat is set by the Planet Leader. Alliance is set by the alliance leader.
	Name - Commander Name	<hex code>

Chat Rules

Rules in chat are the same as rules in the forums, and there is usually always a moderator present. So be sure to know the rules.

The rules in chatroom, however, can be different. Any language deemed unacceptable by a moderator or developer can lead to a ban. Usually a warning is given out to the person that made the infraction. If the person still does not abide by the moderators commands to stop preforming the infraction or does not take action on any other of the moderators commands, the person can be banned. Bans can last for a few hours to forever, depending on the level of the infraction.

White (invisible) writing is an infraction in the chatroom. The color of the text must be very visible, or else you will be warned by the moderator, and it could lead to a ban.
